New thematic section from Culture Unbound: “Exhibiting Europe: The Development of European Narratives in Museums, Collections and Exhibitions”
Culture Unbound: Journal of Current Cultural Research has published a new thematic section entitled
“Exhibiting Europe: The Development of European Narratives in Museums, Collections and Exhibitions”, edited by Stefan Krankenhagen.
This section consists of eight articles that discuss how different European identities and the idea of a common European culture are narrated, envisioned and produced in cultural practices and policies in relation to the European Union. The particular subjects in focus range from museum exhibitions and digital heritage to the preservation and re-contextualisation of industrial sites and the regulation and ownership of a European cultural heritage.
